A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, authorities announced on Friday.
Tyler Robinson was supposedly the person who shot and killed Kirk on Wednesday, Utah’s governor Spencer Cox, confirmed at a press conference in Utah on Friday.
“We have it,” Cox said at a press conference on Friday.
The press conference occurred shortly after President Donald Trump confirmed that they had the alleged handle in custody.

After the shooting, the alleged shooter traveled to the other side of the building, jumped and fled off the campus to a neighborhood, Mason said. The authorities are working in nearby neighborhoods, contacting people with bell cameras and talking with witnesses to identify any potential client, Mason said.
“I want to make it clear at this time who has done this, we will find it. We will try it and we will do it responsible for the greatest measure of the law,” Cox said during an informative session on Wednesday, qualifying the fatal shooting as a “political murder.”
He said that state officials are already moving to follow the death penalty if the case goes to trial.
