Trump Rates live updates: Trump says he is "very safe" in the commercial agreement with the EU

The senior officials of the Administration on Thursday morning described that President Donald Trump and the working meeting of the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will focus on trade, defense sending, the role of Italy in the economic corridor of India-East-Europe and “unleash US energy exports to the rest of the world.”

When the reporters asked what Italy can do to facilitate a commercial agreement with the United States, the senior administration officials said they did not want to get ahead of the president, but one said that Trump’s expectation for all nations working in an agreement is “a true association and giving access to world markets in the name of the US manufacturing and work base.”

“Once again, not getting ahead of their discussions, but certainly the president will emphasize his expectation so that Italy and all of Europe do their part to be good commercial partners with the United States,” said the official.
